Fly for compensation or hire — privileges, precision maneuvers, complex systems, and the regs that govern commercial operations.
Earning the Commercial Pilot certificate is the gateway to being paid to fly. This course covers the aeronautical knowledge areas of the Commercial Pilot ACS: the privileges and limitations of the certificate (including the 14 CFR 61.133 restrictions and the Part 119/135 lines around common carriage), advanced aerodynamics and stability, performance planning, and the systems found on the complex and high-performance airplanes commonly used for the rating. You will also study the commercial flight maneuvers — chandelles, lazy eights, eights-on-pylons, steep spirals, steep turns, and the power-off 180° accuracy approach and landing — along with the precise tolerances the ACS demands. Finally, the course grounds you in airworthiness, required inspections, and the aeronautical decision-making expected of a professional aviator. Work through the lessons, drill the practice bank, then pass the final exam to earn your certificate of completion.
